Dr. Spencer Kagan

Dr. Spencer Kagan is an internationally acclaimed researcher, presenter and author of over 100 books, chapters, and scientific journal articles. He is a former clinical psychologist and full-time professor of psychology and education at the University of California. He is the principal author of the single most comprehensive book for educators in each of four fields: cooperative learning, multiple intelligences, classroom discipline, and classroom energizers. His instructional strategies are used in teacher training institutes in many countries. Dr. Kagan provides workshops and keynotes in over thirty countries and his books are translated into many languages. Dr. Kagan developed the concept of structures; his popular brain-based, cooperative learning and multiple intelligences structures like Numbered Heads Together and Timed Pair Share are used in classrooms worldwide. Dr. Kagan has been featured in the leading educational magazines including Educational LeadershipInstructorLearning Magazine, and Video Journal. He is in high demand as a keynote speaker at national and international conferences.

Tracie Berry-Mcghee

Tracie Berry-McGhee founded the SistaKeeper Empowerment Center in St. Louis 12 years ago with the mission of empowering, inspiring and developing the mind, body and spirit of young women. SistaKeeper has since spread to other locations within the United States, as well as to Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.

Tracie also continues to serve the community via her private counseling practice, which specializes in women and teen girl issues. She is often called upon to speak on topics such as conflict resolution, dealing with low self-esteem and bullying. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Delta Sigma Theta “Power of 22 Award,” the African American Professional Organization of Women “Women of Distinction Award,” the Girls Scouts “Women of Distinction in Social Services Award,” the NAACP “Hometown Champion Award” and the University of Missouri “Outstanding Achievement and Meritorious Service to Education Award.” Tracie is the author of SistaKeeper Poetry for the SoulI’m a Keeper and OWN your NOW.

Lisa King

Lisa King is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified School Counselor. She is the author of Teaching Career Essentials, How to Create a College Day, Making the Link: Helping Students Link School Habits with the World of Work and Academic Advisement Program and has been published in the Georgia School Counselor Association Journal. Lisa has served as an elementary school counselor for 15 years has been named Counselor of the Year in one of the largest school districts in the southeast United States. She has also received awards for her writing and has presented at many conferences.

Aarom Wiemeier

Aaron J. Wiemeier is a licensed professional counselor with 20 years of experience in the mental health field and is a nationally recognized author, trainer and educator. He is an expert in the neurophysiology of trauma, attachment & adoption and has worked successfully with the most difficult of clients and with the most chaotic and conflictual systems. His pioneering work and program development has led to highly successful outcomes that increase permanency in least restrictive settings and ultimately reduce fiscal spending particulalry in the mental health, educational and legal systems. In 2011, Aaron published a workbook titled, My Feelings Workbook, which teaches affect regulation, awareness and skill development on a nonverbal body level to children. The book was subsequently endorsed by well-established professionals in the trauma, attachment and Autism community. Aaron is also the Dean of Students at Littleton Preparatory Charter School in Littleton, CO, where he is pioneering the development of curriculum and programming that integrates education with the ever increasing mental health needs that plague public schools in the United States

David Rendall

During the last fifteen years, David Rendall has spoken to audiences on every inhabited continent. His clients include the US Air Force and the Australian Government, as well as companies in the Fortune 500 including, AT&T, State Farm Insurance and Ralph Lauren.  

Prior to becoming a speaker, he was a management professor, stand-up comedian and endurance athlete. He also managed nonprofit enterprises that provided employment for people with disabilities. He has more than twenty years of experience leading people and organizations. 

David has a doctor of management degree in organizational leadership, as well as a graduate degree in psychology. He is the author of three books: The Four Factors of Effective Leadership, The Freak Factor, The Freak Factor for Kids

Can I receive Continuing Education Credit by attending this Conference?

Yes!

Developmental Resources is an approved provider for Continuing Education by:

  • Developmental Resources has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5602.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.

*NOTE: 17 contact hours includes attendance at both pre-conference workshops as well as the entire conference. Check with your representative board or organization concerning its policy with regard to Continuing Education.

Do You Offer Partial Registration if You Are Unable to Stay for the Entire Conference?

We do not currently offer a one-day or two-day partial registration fee.

What is Your Cancellation Policy?

If a registrant cannot attend any part of the conference, substitutions may be made - via mail, fax or email - all requests for substations must be made 30 days prior to conference. Registrations cannot be shared. Cancellations received in writing 30 days prior to Conference will be refunded in full, less a $30 non-refundable processing fee. Refunds will be issued no later than 8 weeks after the conference in the same form that payment was received. After 30 days prior, no refunds will be granted, but substitutions are encouraged.
